I’ve gotten in the habit of posting teaser playlists when I first add a forthcoming book to the website. I’ll add the full playlist closer to the release date, but I like to give just a hint of the vibe. These are the songs that go with the book in my mind—or did, during the draft process. Sometimes when I listen back after many, many revisions, some of it feels outdated. Not by time, but by the growth of the characters, a twist in the plot, a slight change in tone.
