I’ve gotten in the habit of posting teaser playlists when I first add a forthcoming book to the website. I’ll add the full playlist closer to the release date, but I like to give just a hint of the vibe. These are the songs that go with the book in my mind—or did, during the draft process. Sometimes when I listen back after many, many revisions, some of it feels outdated. Not by time, but by the growth of the characters, a twist in the plot, a slight change in tone. This is a teaser from the Summer’s Edge playlist back when it was The Lake House. More to come.

I’ve mentioned many times that this particular manuscript has multiple playlists—for different characters, for drafting, for editing (some with lyrics for total distraction free writing, and some with lyrics to get me in the zone). This is the definitive one I always came back to, and I think it captures the spirit of all of them.
