Blog, Interrupted

My brand new, totally revamped blog! I will bring back a couple of entries from about the time when I announced my book deal, but other than that, it's all new.

YA Scavenger Hunt!

Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! This bi-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors (and to learn about some sweet new authors)...and a chance to win some awesome prizes!

At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize--one lucky winner will receive one book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 120 hours!

Go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt. There are SIX contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all! I am a part of the GREEN TEAM--but there is also a red team, a gold team, an orange team, a red team, a pink team, and a purple team for a chance to win a whole different set of books!

If you'd like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page.

Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by Sunday, April 8, at noon Pacific Time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

Today, I am hosting Stevie Rae Causey on my website for the YA Scavenger Hunt!

Stevie is the author of Anhedonia.

Somewhere a Darkness lurks…

Kala is forced to reveal her daughter’s elven heritage upon the death of their King.

Hunted by the Elite, they flee into the safety of the mountains, oblivious to the fact that they’ve harbored a stow-away.

Anhedonia: Bringer of Sorrow. Torn from everything she has ever known, will Kala’s daughter rise to meet her destiny, or will she succumb to the voice of The Darkness?

Charlezon (II):Tall and fair skinned, he has the blue eyes that are the trademark of his people. He wears his wheat colored hair cropped short and cradled in a sterling crown as is his birthright. His clothes are woven sunlight and he carries the sword Rainite, which means Justice in the English tongue, and was handed down to him by his father.

History: Ruled before the migration of Ludlum's people from the Old World. Mate to Elanor who died in the same attack that blinded him. Father to Azlyn and Cain. Known for his kindness and wisdom, and had a soft spot for humans, especially Kala’s mother. It was he who gave Avadari to the human king.

In his youth he went by “Charles”. After his father, King Charles I, was executed he took on his full name. No one, save Eoma, has ever called him by his childhood name since.

Thanks, Stevie! Don't forget to enter the contest for a chance to win a ton of books by me, Stevie, and more! But before you do, you should probably know about a certain number that plays an important role in my book- 13. Add up all the numbers you collect from the authors on the green team, and you'll have the secret code to enter for the grand prize!

Your next task on the scavenger hunt is to check out the author Cassidy Taylor.
